Public, friends, or only you — set per post or as a default.
Every post has an audience picker next to the Post button: Public, Friends, or Only me.
Settings → Privacy sets the default for new posts, and lets you decide who may send you friend requests and who can find you.
Changing a post's audience later affects who can see it from that moment — people who already saw it may remember it.
